I'm a big fan of Stephany Tullis writing, and like her other novels, Tullis breathes life into her Chandler County series using unusual settings peopled with unique and memorable characters. In Missing the Moment, main character,Shelly Stavins, is divorced, very bitter and disgusted with life. Maybe this is why it took a chapter or two for this third installation to touch my heart and tug at my emotions. Tullis' characters are flawed yet readers can relate in some way, making us want to know more about what may or may not happen in their lives.
The characters are pragmatic as they navigate recognizable situations, making it easy to identify with; especially Shelly's relationship with her sister. I was also pleasantly surprised and happy with the ending of this book.
This is Ms. Tullis' third book in the Chandler County series. The town is evolving and it's interesting to see how newcomers, such as Shelly and her family, intermingle with some of my favorite characters. Andy Matthews, the photographer/staff writer for the local newspaper and his boss find themselves in the midst of Shelly's drama.
I can't wait for the author's next book so I can check up on Andy and Shelly!

Missing the Moment A Chandler County Novel edition by Stephany Tullis Dana Leah Paula Grundy Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
Following her husband's shock desertion of her, Shelly attempts to start afresh as a single mum and small businesswoman in Chandlerville, Kentucky. Great drama and romance where we're left guessing right up to the end as to her motives, and her intentions concerning two new men in her life. Or is she just out for revenge? A real page-turner.
How does a bitter divorcee find love again, or more importantly does she want to?
Shelly is surprised to face a divorce. How she handles this is the theme of this engaging romance.
As she always does, writer Stephany Tullis continues to create wonderful Christian Romances. Her writing style is enjoyable, and her characters are so realistic, I feel as if I know them.
Surprise, divorce, struggling to find a new life, should all be depressing but instead in this wonderful book there is hope, redemption, and deep spirit. MISSING THE MOMENT is the third novel in the Chandler county Series set in Kentucky with two more to be released in the near future...superb writing, language that fits the area, and great detail...love in all the right places for those who like their heart strings pulled....Stephany Tullis has done it again...great read....
Shelly finds herself unexpectedly divorced. Her husband left for work as usual one morning and the next thing she knows, she’s being handed divorce papers.
Shelly decides not to stick around and endure the gossip and speculation surround her divorce. Angry and bitter, Shelly moves to Chandlerville, Kentucky for a new beginning.
Will she ever be able to overcome the new unwanted emotions that have been unleashed or will running her own bookstore and being a single mom raising her child, soften her heart. After all, 'Shelly's Revenge' is the name of the game.
This is a very well written book. The story flows seamlessly and the characters are true to life. If you love reading a good clean romance that is both entertaining and enduring, then this is the book for you. I highly recommend it!
